ipie with my little eye: See you 10/3 at the P.A. Market!

This week at the Palo Alto Farmers' Market we will have two ipie flavors to pick from -- apple and pear! Try both flavors!

I tinkered with all kinds of spices for my new pear filling but finally came back to purely pear -- locally grown Bartlett pears sprinkled with a bit of lemon juice and a small amount of sugar.

Of course we will have cinnamon pinwheels as well!

We had a fun time last week hearing other childhood names for these treats. My favorite so far has got to be "parties."

As explained to me by a lovely woman, "my mom would bake a pie then would sprinkle the dough scraps with cinnamon sugar, bake them and say "let's have a party!"

Party on pie people!

ipie at the Palo Alto Market 9/26!

Oh no! Only one ipie left!

Don't worry -- we will be at the Palo Alto Farmers' Market again this week.

This week we have a new flavor -- Caramel Apple!

This batch has a bit of sticky goodness to them so grab lots of napkins!

See you at the Market!

ipie In the News!

Yes, ipie had its formal debut at the P.A. Market last Saturday but I couldn't resist bringing them to Omnivore Books on Food
in S.F. for its pie tasting event last week.

It was a pie frenzy! So many great looking and great tasting pies! And such happy looks on all the faces consuming those pies or just hanging around observing all the pie eating.

You can read all about it in this short article by writer Dustin Plattdustino who covered the event for the examiner.com

Big Thanks from ipie!

Big thanks from the ipie team to all our customers and supporters at the Palo Alto Farmers' Market for your support today! Our organic apple ipies sold out in less than two hours. And the pinwheels didn't last long either!

We loved hearing the stories from our customers of their pie past! It is hard to compete with those memories but we will do our best to provide you with the tastiest ipies we can offer.

We had a lot of questions about upcoming flavors -- September is organic apple ipie month. In October, we will offer a caramel organic apple ipie. We are also testing a apple cranberry ipie as well as a caramel pear.

We welcome your feedback and flavor suggestions for our ipies. You can email us at the link to the right.

We will be back at the Market next week so please come see us again.

And remember, pie makes the world a better place!

The Debut of ipie: Palo Alto Farmers' Market 9/12!

"Stress cannot exist in the presence of pie." david mamet

ipie - individual pies -- makes its formal debut at the Palo Alto Farmers' Market this Saturday, September 12!

Come see me at the Market (Gilman Street @ Hamilton) in downtown Palo Alto from 8-12.

Experience the great taste of ipie featuring organic apples baked into a tender and flaky crust.

Also available are cinnamon pinwheels -- pie pastry filled with cinnamon sugar, then rolled and sliced into 1-inch morsels of goodness.

See the sidebar to the right of this post for more information.

Hope to see you there!
